This laboratory was established in September 2024. The lab conducts studies of ethical, social, and legal issues in cutting-edge medical science research and clinical settings. Specific themes that we are studying are as follows: - ELSI (Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues) and legal policies in assisted reproductive technology - ELSI and research ethics regarding life through cutting-edge artificial technology (e.g., ectogenesis) - ELSI and law regarding biobanks and follow-up research - Medical and clinical research from a gender perspective (as of January 2025) Those who wish to conduct interdisciplinary research on issues in medical science, or who are interested in medical law and research ethics, and who wish to apply to the laboratory, are strongly encouraged to make an appointment for an interview, explain the content of your research to date, your research plans for the course, and your plans after graduation. Admissions tests are conducted on an independent basis and are not related to this interview.
